Tomasu Salt is crafted from gros sel de Guérande (salt), harvested in Bretagne, France. With this salt being one of our 4 ingredients it felt natural to create a soy sauce infused salt. We fill barrels with salt and then top them off with freshly pressed soy sauce, allowing the flavors to meld and mature, resulting in a uniquely flavorful salt. And our Tomasu Sambal is crafted from Madame Jeanette peppers and sesame seeds soaked in our sweet & spicy soy sauce. Our process begins with brewing soy sauce for over 24 months, followed by an additional 6 months to create our sweet & spicy variant. The final step involves letting the residue ferment for another 6 months, resulting in a truly unprecedented sambal. A product we never planned to create.
